And she's here...Kinsley

Two moreshots of me at the very end of my pregnancy ...

The picture in the pink shirt was Monday and boy did I have a lot of cleaning to do...which helped me go into labor because...after laboring at home for most of the night, we arrived at the hospital with only 20 minutes to spare!  Thank goodness she came quickly.. weighing in at 6 pounds 1 ounce and only 18 inches long, Kinsley joined our family!

Grandma was on the airplane as we were driving to the hospital and arrived only minutes after Kinsley was born.  Thank goodness Kinsley came quickly otherwise Grandma would have had to stay the night in our tiny little airport!  Thank you Grandma for coming!  We love you so much and you were a HUGE help, as always!
Kinsley came quickly and in doing so she also scared the doctors and she ended up in the NICU for a few days, while they did all sorts of testing because she had such low body temperature.  She was fine though after medicines of all kinds and we are extremely thankful for that!  She was born on a Tuesday and we finally came home on Friday.  Sunday was Mother's Day so Grandma was invited to my brother, Bryan's house for the weekend, so we didn't get to spend too much time with her but we know she had a good time with him.

Spring Break & a whole lot more posts to come ...

After Hiram arrived home ( I was 33 weeks pregnant) I went to the dr and told them that we were going to go to Disneyworld when I was 36 weeks pregnant.  My midwife (on the base) told me that probably wouldn't be a good idea but I really didn't care where our new baby would be born, NC or FL, didn't really matter.  So she said well I won't even wonder who it is when they make an announcement that a baby was born at Disneyworld!  So we decided to go ... we went for a week ... walked a ton ... and of course ... NO BABY!  Any way here are some of our fun pictures...
The Entrance of Course

A break for me, I'm sure
oh fixing the hair...we are always doing that!
my cuties!

Meridith looks just like Davin in that hat!
 I think I was having a contraction

I will have to do another post with more photos soon!  We had most of our photos on our laptop and it completely crashed and all of those photos were lost :(

I'm Back & So is Daddy!

It's been a CRAZY year but I am back to my blogging again so I will start right where I left off!  My last post was about how the time was dragging until Hiram got home.  Well obviously he's home!  Well sort of...he is back in the states but will be spending the next few weeks in California.  We won't have him here for another Thanksgiving but that's ok.  At least he is able to come home after that!

Anyway back to his homecoming...it was the worst day of the year to be outside that's for sure!  I had bought the kids clothes for the spring and it was not spring like weather at all!  It was so cold, windy and there was a horrible drizzle going on. My friend came and suffered through the weather to take pictures and we are so thankful to her for that! So here they are:

Welcome Home!

We waited for 2 hours in the cold, windy, wet weather.

Finally, a phone call to let us know they are COMING!!

The buses arrived . . .
we didn't know which one he was on . . .
they unloaded and we looked all around and finally found this . . .
I no longer could control my kids...no words can describe this moment...

Finally!  Don't forget the pregnant wife...I missed you too!

Our family is very blessed to all be back together again!  Too many people don't get this moment and we are thankful for their sacrifice.

Welcome Home Gifts!

While he was gone I saved, and saved and SAVED, his deployment money so that he could buy whatever he wanted when he got home.  After all, he did miss Christmas, his birthday and our anniversary.  So here is what he got ...
then he sold his car and got this...

UGH! It is DRAGGING!!

At the top of my intro to the blog it states that "time D.....R.....A.....G......S for us when Hiram is gone".  Well this is the worst part of it all.  I am so thankful that at least my husband is coming home but the last few weeks is the worst part of it all!  We have 2 countdown calendars and one jar that we take a pom pom out of every day and transfer it to another jar.  The days are few but could they really go any slower?  We just want Hiram back NOW!!  Everyone at church states that, "wow the time has really gone by fast....well speak for yourselves!"  The only way time would have ever gone by fast is if he never would have left!!  We continue to keep them all in our prayers as things are never 100% that he will make it home safely!  We are praying for these next few weeks to somehow fly by like they will for most anyone who is not waiting for their husband or their daddy!

Sorry for the ranting and raving but there is no possible way to describe what this feels like unless you are going through it!

26 weeks already!!

This is not the best picture but when your photographer is a 5 year old it really isn't that bad!  We are getting really excited because Hiram will be home soon and soon after we will be having our baby girl!!
